Shunget Days
A frown (or scowl) is a facial expression that is the opposite of a smile. It is demonstrated as an arc facing up, and is caused by movement of the lips and the areas around the mouth. Strangely, it seems that when one frowns for an actual cause (Instead of just doing it to "put on a show") the muscles around one's eyes contract, and the eyes appear to grow larger. It most commonly expresses sadness, dissatisfaction, anger, worry or pain.

The world goes up and the world goes down, And the sunshine follows the rain; And yesterday's sneer and yesterday's frown can never come over again.
-Charles Kingsley
